This role exists to help residents access timely information and to sustain smooth program operations. Key responsibilities include front-line customer assistance; scheduling and coordination; records and database maintenance; preparation of program materials; support for outreach and public education activities; social media and basic communications support; and cross-coverage for multiple program areas as departmental priorities shift.

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Working knowledge of public health concepts, community resources, and health promotion

  • Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply sound judgment in sensitive situations

The work week is 40 hours, with flexibility required for occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays to support time-sensitive community needs.

The City of Pharr offers a practical benefits package designed to support employees’ health and time away from work, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Time Off.
